Where is the rest of the world?
I watched MSNBC for forty minutes over lunch today, and the closest they got to talking about anything international was two humpback whales in San Francisco. I had to stop watching after 40 minutes. Maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume they spent the next 40 minutes - at least - talking about things outside the U.S.? I don't know...they spent about two minutes talking about David Hasselhoff's drinking problem.

Um, don't you know by now that when David Hasselhoff is in the news, the rest of the world stands still?
It's a little something we like to call "Priorities."
Sheesh.
David Hasselhoff was (is still?) VERY big in Germany with his singing career, so perhaps that makes his drinking problem international news.... or perhaps your experience is yet another good argument for abandoning cable news in favor of MPR.
